About What's In The Box

The beginnings of WHATS IN THE BOX date back to February 2017, when after the break-up of ANEURYSM, Herak (guitar, vocals) approached his good old friend Dan (bass guitar), whose band ARAI had recently broken up, to form a new band. In the meantime, drummer Otas (ex Shark Repelent) joined and the trio was complete.

Right from the start they said that until they had a playlist of about 45 minutes and a full length album recorded, they would not perform publicly. The first thing came out, the second didn’t. In March 2019, the band began recording their debut album. Meanwhile, at the end of May, they played their first concert at DPL in Pilsen.

Just before their release, the band filmed a music video for the song „Plastic Books“ under the baton of Radim Věžník. The debut album MILK was released on CD in a limited number of 30 copies on 27 September 2019.

In March 2022, the drummer Otas is leaving. The band parted ways with him on good terms and remain friends. Almost immediately, however, a replacement, Pavel (ex Disavoir vivre, Sound of violence), came along. After two months, the band is ready to perform again and with the new member they played their first concert at the Brno Cabinet of Muses.

On October 27, 2023, the second studio album S(T)IMULATIONS was released, produced by Tom Fröde in his studio „I“.. The first single was released by Cartoon network with a music video in which they collaborated with Filip Hudousek.

WITB are still actively touring. Since May 31, 2019 to date they have played about 150 concerts, including foreign concerts (Germany, Belgium, Holland, Serbia, Hungary…). They have already made 6 music videos. 4 with their videographer Filip and one by themselves and now they are shooting the seventh one for the song Davell Gardner Junior in collaboration with Michal Skorepa. They are releasing Vlogs for fans from their travels.
