About Allen-Forrester Band
The Allen-Forrester Band is a Blues and Rock band founded by New York guitarists Josh Allen and Ben Forrester. Inspired by the pioneers of the genre like The Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Black Crowes and Blackberry Smoke, they put a new spin on the classic twin guitar sound and have combined their influences into a stirring mix of straight forward Blues Rock and melodic, song-oriented Southern Rock.
Their live shows are not only a showcase of sophisticated guitar riffs and Josh’s weathered, bluesy voice, but also of the entire band’s joy of playing and improvising. The rhythm section consisting of Hendrik Herder on bass and Matthias Böhm on drums complete the modern, yet timeless retro sound of the band.
