About The New Cut
The New Cut
A 4-piece post-punk band, The New Cut blends the energy of The Fall, Wire, and The Monochrome Set with modern themes. Formed in 2021, the Bristol act has quickly gained momentum with successful releases, supporting Buzzcocks, Sprints, and The Bug Club, and landing on Green Man Festival's 2024 emerging talent longlist. With a new release in December 2024, The New Cut is set to rise from local favourite to a new name in the UK post-punk scene. “MY NEW FAVOURITE BRISTOL BAND” (Bristol 24/7) - “ones to watch” (Vinyl District) - “a must-see band” (Epigram)

What fans are saying
Most exciting new band I’ve seen in ages and my best gig of the year so far. One of those bands where everyone is essential to the overall noise. Brilliant bass lines combined with great drumming allowing the 2 guitars to play off one another. Some genius lyrics to top it off. Ace!
