The Youth Play are an emerging alternative band from London blending shoegaze and post-punk.
The band are back with their first release of the year, ‘If We Just Ever Were’, following their debut EP ‘Wildflowers’ that came out in November 2023.
The song shows the continual progression and transformation of their sound, this time exploring further their post-punk influences.
'If We Just Ever Were' looks at the lack of excitement from everyday life, amplifying the euphoria of those moments, allowing freedom from socially built constructs and any expectations imposed on being yourself.
