TSYTSKA is the all-female Ukrainian metal band, grounding their sound in the brutal core of grindcore and death metal. The band has combined these extreme genres with unique, contrasting elements, such as occasional use of accordion and academic vocals, which collectively define their signature style: "velvet deathgrind."

The band was formed by frontwoman Kate Bass as a deliberately provocative side project that originated from a joke at a party. TSYTSKA’s lyrics are tragicomically candid, describing awkward and taboo everyday situations and transforming social conventions into brutal satire. Their striking stage image further amplifies this contrast, blending an leopard aesthetic with the sheer brutality of deathgrind.
