VS / U (pronounced “Versus You”) is a rising alternative rock band from Gothenburg, Sweden. The group consists of vocalist Sannie Å-Halvarsson, guitarists Emil Olsson and Emanuel Magnil, and drummer Gusten Åkerman.
By blending their diverse musical backgrounds, VS / U is carving out a much-needed middle ground in the vibrant and innovative alternative rock scene. Their sound strikes a balance—neither overly heavy nor too pop-oriented—while fearlessly exploring the extremes of their individual influences.
VS / U made their debut in June 2023 and quickly caught the attention of national and international record labels, as well as industry professionals. By consistently releasing music throughout 2023 and 2024 and amassing over 800,000 streams in less than two years, VS / U has proven their dedication and positioned themselves as a band here for the long haul.
