Rise The Wicked

Rise the Wicked (RTW) is an original five piece rock and metal band hailing from the Waikato, Aotearoa New Zealand. Releasing their first full album "State of Oblivion" in 2023, they've gained a following from those who love high-octane guitar based rock, intense rhythm and commanding vocals, across kick-arse melodies.

The band formed in early 2019. When Pete and Andrew's former band, 8 Steps to Madness, went on hiatus, they continued to jam and started to piece together riffs which in turn became songs. Terry (Teza) joined as the vocalist, bringing not only his exceptional voice, but also a talent for writing lyrics that resonated giving the tone that is RTW.
Ewan Dawson was known to the guys from the local music scene - a guy with a lot of experience, common taste and plenty of talent - they asked him to join and handle bass duties towards the end of 2020. Through Ewan they found Jonty who completes the line up on drums with his hard hitting style of rock/metal that keep the whole band locked in.
