Rival Within

Rival Within is an up-and-coming hard rock band from Nebraska, US.

Citing influences ranging from 90’s Pop to European Power Metal, there is something to be said for their collective style. Combining massive drum beats with a dynamic range of vocals intertwined with skilled and precise melodies, they create hooks that stick with you long after the music fades.

Rival Within was forged from the ashes of former bands. Rival Within members have previously been on the bill alongside acts including Pop Evil, Psychostick, Shinedown, Tantric, Rev Theory, and more. They are certainly no strangers to the music scene.

Members consist of frontman and vocalist Eric Benson, guitar shredders Keith Schroetlin and Noah Kalvelage, Doug Phipps on bass, and Travis Christiansen behind the drums.

Their first EP, Mark of the Witch released in Oct 2023 features three hits stemming from the legend of “Jane Arcane”, a centuries old witch burned at the stake. The opener “Paranoia” hits hard and fast, while “Over and Over” finds the groove. A solid EP to set the dark yet fun tone and pave the way for future releases.
