About flywheel

Flywheel are a five-piece psychedelic pop band from Cork, Ireland. Reformed in 2020 between Covid lockdowns, the band take their influence from a range of sources, from 90’s shoe gazing and indie bands to modern day artist such as Gilla Band, Tonstatssbandth, Burial and Yard Act .
They released an album with a Swedish record label in the 1990 “She” before breaking up. Four of the original five members, Mark Tangney & Kieran Curtin (guitars), Ann Marie Ryan (vocals) and Paul Kelleher (bass) make up the current line up and the addition of Andy Wilson has bought a new dimension to their sound. The two guitars make for a heavy wall of sound layered with a female vocalist over a tight rhythm section.
They released a six track EP “You’ve Seen a Lot” in early 2023 on all the usual platforms. The new EP shows the progression of the band with the use of synth and layered vocals. Definitely a band to hear live and loud!
