ALEX YACOVELLI is a New York City based Rock Artist, Songwriter & Producer. He's both a Solo Artist (Alt-Folk) and the frontman of the new Neo-Grunge / Punk / Alt / Sleaze / Garage band YACOVELLI. Former projects have included: Rich N Pretty and Not Your Queen's English. His music ranges from emotionally drenched acoustic heartbreakers to Alternative stadium bangers, which he dubs "The Zepp Effect."

No stranger to the suburban DIY garage studio, Yacovelli's full band music typically encapsulates a raw, indie rock drive and energy. A longtime resident of Hell’s Kitchen, Alex brings years of underground experience and flair to every production. He’s been a mainstay at local NYC venues since the 2000s, and played with Weezer at their Madison Square Garden debut.

Yacovelli tied for Honorable Mention with Meghan Trainor in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition (Pop category). He attended NYU (Vocal Performance), where he made early demos at the Clive Davis Studio. At university, his Ultraviolet Live talent show performance was praised by host Perez Hilton, on the same stage Lady Gaga had played barefoot the year prior. He recorded a version of his song "Songbird" at Liverpool UK's Jacaranda Records (the club where The Beatles literally started) in their 1947 Voice-O-Graph direct-to-vinyl booth.
