Julia Jewel

I’m from Connecticut and moved to Long Island, NY in July 2022. I'm 100% an introvert, but the moment I decided to take to the stage at age eight, I fell in love with performing. It gave me the opportunity to be myself, be bold, and be seen by others. At age fifteen, I decided I wanted to start writing my own music, and my mission ever since has been to make people feel more confident. In 2022, I decided to audition for American Idol (a dream I've had since I was a little kid) and got the Golden Ticket. It was the hardest thing I had ever done, but it taught me so much about myself and what I wanted to say to the world. Music is for healing, and my goal has always been to inspire people through songwriting to take back their power and not be afraid to walk away from situations or people that don't treat them right.
