The Waylanders

From the vibrant musical landscape of Ft Worth, TX, The Waylanders emerge as a dynamic duo that marries Rock-N-Roll grit with Honky Tonk flair. Dani, a female drummer, merges her punchy rhythms and backing vocals with the twangy melodies of Joey on guitar, harmonica, and lead vocals. This two-piece band channels the renegade spirit of Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson. Their sound is deeply rooted in the rebellious vibes of 70s country, enriched with the soulful essence of the blues and the intricate harmonies of bluegrass. They have been noted as "Marty Robbins meets the White Stripes"

The Waylanders have carved out a niche with their distinctly nostalgic retro style, bringing a lively and unexpectedly robust presence to the stage that belies their modest setup. Their performances are a high-energy affair, captivating audiences with a sound that feels both familiar and innovative.

In June 2025, The Waylanders released their self recorded debut album, 'Howling Highway,' that encapsulates their unique blend of influences. This album not only showcases their musical prowess but also marks a significant milestone in their artistic journey, capturing the essence of their vibrant and raw live performances. Recorded in a living room, on vintage gear, reflects the bands nostalgic vibes and love for that "old sound" that brought them together in the first place.

The Waylanders next album is currently underway and it's one you don't want to miss.
