Two British 23-year-olds, Ruben and Alex, known for their blend of Alternative and bedroom/indie-pop music, formed their duo during the closing weeks of Sixth Form. Their paths converged in February 2020 in Manchester, their shared hometown, oblivious to the fact that their forthcoming collaboration would become a lifeline during the pandemic. Inspired by the likes of Still Woozy, Olivia Dean, Boney M and FINNEAS, producing music remotely became their saving grace, hence the band name: remote.
