Beurre’s second album picks up precisely where their debut, Oxt to Anyone, left off. The electrifying friction between brutal distortion and emotional sensitivity remains at the heart of the Swiss trio’s shriekingly heavy sound. Yet, the world that shaped these new tracks has grown darker - and so has the music.
Driven by an intensifying desire to channel the transformative force of harsh noise and overwhelming loudness, their brand of extreme metal now takes the shape of mantras and meditations, or veers into the chaotic realms of weirdness and entropy.
