About Red Tide
Red Tide is Drew DeRieux- guitar/vocals; Brandon Affolter- bass; Mike Reeves- drums/vocals. Red Tide formed in the summer of ‘95. The guys played several shows and built a reputation. In October of ‘97 Red Tide recorded a demo at Kaos Studio in Portland, OR. The demo was mixed and mastered at Cravedog Records in Portland and a package deal was obtained. It was released in ‘98. The band had pre-sold the cd's in order to make the recording and production finances. This was true "Crowd Funding" before it was even a thing! Red Tide never disbanded and have continued friendships and performing through out the years.
