Trouble Bound

Heralded as the Hudson Valley’s punk rock legends; Trouble Bound are a Hudson Valley based Punk band out of the Newburgh, NY area. The boys have been wielding their very own brand of punk rock fused with subtle rockabilly accents since 1999. Citing such influences as RANCID, STRAY CATS, MOTORHEAD, STIFF LITTLE FINGERS, EDDIE COCHRAN, SOCIAL DISTORTION and THE RAMONES.
Formed out of High School by Johnny No-Keys, Trouble Bound’s sound really starting to come into fruition with the joining of Dan Szeli and his hard-hitting and always impressive bass playing in early 2001. The addition of long-time scene drummer Brian Labuda and his creative precision has made Trouble Bound an even bigger force to be reckoned with.
With songs written about daily-life, working class struggles, “what goes around come around” karma forbodings, and even inner turmoil… It’s instantly obvious to the ear -the earnest quality and heart on the sleeve approach to songwriting. Telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
The NEW album “Broken Ribs and Blood Clots” (included here) due out in August 2024, will be the band’s first new music release since 2013. This album showcases the band’s many different influences and powerful bond in songwriting between No-Keys and Szeli. Brian’s chemistry added to the mix brings it all together for dynamic punk rock that stays with you long after the needle leaves the record.

The band has been playing all over the Hudson Valley and New York City, with plans to branch out into others states and long weekends in support of this new album. When they are not working on writing new music or playing shows, the boys of TROUBLE BOUND play an integral part in the local punk/hardcore scene, supporting and even organizing local shows and bringing bands together from out of state. The boys are even involved in writing and distributing for the local Punk/Hardcore fanzine OUTSIDER MAGAZINE, an in-print fanzine they have been working with since 2005.
