Homemade Hand Grenade

Homemade Hand Grenade started in 2019 when four idiots decided that one week would be enough to form a band and prepare for a show. Their preparation has improved, but that urge for exploring new grounds and challenging themselves has stayed, resulting in a rock band that is not worried about where to go soundwise, but is rather focused on the question “Will it be fun?”.

Their debut single ‘Couchsurfing’ encapsulates that fun and brings a dance-able first glance of the discography that is to come by the band. With their new single ‘Looking-Glass Self’ the band shows their musical ability together with their need to keep the music writing process fresh and renewing.

Couchsurfing is an upbeat and catchy garage rock/punk song that combines energetic guitar riffs with powerful vocals and driving percussion. Lyrically, the band explore the struggles with insecurities about where to go in life, and using partying and nightlife as a coping mechanism.The song depicts this impulsive behaviour, and the regret that can arise afterwards.

Breaking away from the expectations set by "Couchsurfing," "Looking-Glass Self" presents a departure into slow, layered storytelling, showcasing a bit more versatility and depth. Despite this shift, the track retains the signature intensity and flavor that listeners have come to expect.
