About Florence Adooni
"I was born in Kumasi, Ghana, but my roots are in the Frafra culture of northern Ghana. Growing up, I was surrounded by music and started singing in my church choir, where I eventually became the lead singer. That’s where my journey began.
In 2011, I released my first album, Ho Sanga La Pa’aya, which became a big success in the Frafra community. I was so proud to share my culture and message through music. A few years later, German producer Max Weissenfeldt heard my songs and reached out. He invited me to join his band, and that opened doors I never dreamed of.
In 2021, I released Mam Pe’ela Su’ure, my first song for an international audience, and everything changed. The song brought me to Europe, where I’ve performed at amazing festivals like Roskilde and Down The Rabbit Hole.
Music has taken me on an incredible journey, and I’m so thankful to share my Frafra heritage with audiences around the world. It’s been a dream come true.
