Out of a dimly lit basement in Chicago, and amongst the spray painted sidewalks on Fairfax, there blossoms a 21 year old rage child determined to disturb the alt-rock ecosystem. Aptly named 'Forest', her world is a seductive labyrinth of heartbreak, addiction, faith, and lust, calling out to the void of understanding her place in the world, or lack thereof. Influenced by the undertow of bands like Deftones, Mannequin Pussy, and Fleshwater, Forest’s music luxuriates the listener with narratives of growth, loss, and the furies of acceptance.
Forest's voice, both subtle and powerful, finds solace amidst thunderous drums, while her listeners are submerged head first into the distorted static of electric guitars.
