About Danny Trent
Born in Bari, he graduated with honors in classical guitar from the Niccolò Piccinni Conservatory of Music in his hometown, under the guidance of Maestro Pasquale Scarola.
He was a member of the De Falla Guitar Orchestra, founded and conducted by Maestro Scarola, with which he performed from 2005 to 2013, both as a soloist and as part of various concerts, festivals, and TV shows in Italy and Switzerland (Manfredonia Guitar Festival, Pescara Guitar Festival, "Premio Diomede" in Canosa, "Puglia Film Commission - Homage to Fellini," "I Concerti di Mediterre," "L’Aia 3, Sounds and Dances of the Mediterranean" on Telenorba - Southern Italy's TV broadcaster, "Salento Sotto le Stelle," "Arthemisia Musica Classica Festival Internazionale," XX International Music Festival of Pescara, Grand Concert at Circolo Unione at Petruzzelli in Bari).
He has furthered his studies, both in classical and modern music, with internationally renowned musicians and leading figures in the Italian music scene such as Tommy Emmanuel, Doyle Dykes, Preston Reed, Eduardo Isaac, Flavio Cucchi, Lorenzo Micheli, Matteo Mela, Andrea Braido, Rocco Zifarelli, Giacomo Castellano.
From 2010 to 2014, he was a guest at the International Guitar Festival of Puglia. In parallel with his teaching activities, he has played in various tribute bands for artists like Claudio Baglioni, Bon Jovi, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Michael Jackson - currently active - and has created the acoustic duo Cheek2Cheek with friend and colleague singer Lorella Falcone, with whom he reinterprets classics from the '50s in a fingerstyle style.
He has collaborated with numerous artists in the music scene in Bari and beyond, lending his guitar to a wide variety of genres, thus becoming a session musician. He has also opened several concerts for artists such as Peter Cincotti, Fiordaliso, and Danilo Rea.
In 2014, he performed in Toronto, Canada, presenting a wide anthology of fingerpicking repertoire.
In July 2017, he was one of the three finalists for the "Emerging Guitarist 2017" award at the XXIV ADGPA Guitar International Rendez- vous convention held in Pieve di Soligo (TV) and Conegliano (TV).
In February 2018, his debut album "Two Homes" was released, with the opening track "Waterfalls" being selected by Rob Poland, founder of the prestigious U.S. record label Candyrat Records, for rotation on his YouTube channel, gaining thousands of views and approvals. Presented in Canada in the summer of 2018, the album received numerous accolades and success.
In July 2019, he was elected "Best Emerging Guitarist 2019" in Italy at the XXVI ADGPA convention and XIV Guitar International Rendez-vous, thus winning participation in the prestigious Festival de la Guitar in Issoudun, France.
In December 2020, he was among the five finalists worldwide for the "Acoustic Guitarist Of The Year 2020" award compiled by Guitar World and Guitar Player Magazine.
In August 2021, he collaborated and performed with Antonella Ruggiero during her tour in the squares of Puglia.
In June 2022, he held concerts at the prestigious NAMM Show international convention and fair in Los Angeles, California.
In April 2023, he returned to the NAMM Show, performing concerts and officially joining the Timberline Guitars family as an endorser, effectively creating a bridge between the U.S. acoustic guitar brand and Italy.
