About Blind Spot
The band Blind Spot comes from Berlin / Düsseldorf and made a remarkable debut with "Frontmirror" (JazzSick Records).
Consisting of three accomplished musicians Philipp Wisser (guitar), Lea Hart (bass) and Noël Lardon (drums), this trio combines elements of traditional jazz with modern production techniques to create a unique sound, exploring the boundaries of jazz, blues and ambient in new ways.
Musically, Blind Spot circles around clear, catchy themes on "Frontmirror“. They modulate, modify, stumble, fall and catch each other again in their musical process. This results in a lively interplay that is further enhanced by the use of modern live electronics. The variety of sounds transforms the simple melodies into multi-layered constructs and gives them multiple dimensions.
In one moment completely tangible and in the next again diffuse-obscure. Blind Spot play quite naturally with contrasts without falling prey to arbitrariness.
„Blind Spot are as tight as anything, with smooth interplay befitting even the most well-practised of trios, navigating both the formless ambient passages and gritty psych-rock with ease." Presto Recording of the Week

Lea Hart - bass
Noël Lardon - drums
