NeQuasia
This ambitious, innovative, passionate young lady breathes life back into an R&B
scene that has been lacking for quite some time. NeQuasia, The Southern City Belle,
was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Spartanburg, SC. From humble beginnings her
passion flourished in singing and songwriting. Her sound, while it’s her own, has given
influences from the likes of Phillis Hyman, Anita Baker, Janet Jackson, just to name a few.
Wanting to grow musically, she transitioned her passion into her college years
being classically trained. She obtained both her BA (Claflin University) and M.M.
(Bowling Green State University) in music performance with a vocal concentration.
NeQuasia has had different singing appearances on various outlets. In 2012 she
sang for the Steve Harvey Morning Radio Show (Hoodie Awards Competition) as well
as appearing at The Apollo for amateur night in 2016. Still growing vocally, she
released her first music video in 2016 entitled “What You Want” produced by GT
Visionz. She took major steps with several radio interviews, special guest appearances
as well as open mic opportunities. In 2017 she released two singles “Sexii You'' and
“Hella Bent”,
In the year of 2020, she was in her very first fashion show (New York Fashion
Week) and she also released an epic album to introduce herself to the music industry,
“Shattered.” She just released her NEW hit
single “Love With You,” modernizing and bringing back that 90s life of music back into
the industry.
