About Tyler Dezago
Tyler Dezago is an Adirondack based fiddler, guitarist and singer-songwriter who's rooted in American traditional music. His repertoire is authentic kitchen-table music at the end of a working day, and his songs pull listeners in with relatable stories of love and loss.
His voice, straight-toned and warm, shines brightly like the morning light through window blinds. It is warmly in conversation with his guitar and fiddle, and floats with the tenderness of a dove. In concert, audiences are reminded of folk heroes like Jim Croce and James Taylor and his precision guitar work is reminiscent of Norman Blake and David Rawlings. On the fiddle, Tyler is a modern traditionalist. His upbringing as a classical musician glimmers beneath the glow of downhome Appalachian stylings. Whether playing a driving melody in his stringband High on the Hog, or accompanying voice with colorful harmony, Tyler’s playing is polished.
Catch him with playing Solo, with his old-time stringband High on the Hog, or with neotrad string trio Strawberry Wine.
