About Milan Mes
Milan Mes, the maestro behind the mix of brass trumpet and minimalistic electronic dance music. As a trumpet player and producer he mixes New Orleans, Caribbean and Balkan music with electronic grooves and brings it to the bustling streets of his hometown Amsterdam.
Mes’s journey into the realm of music began at an early age, as he found solace and inspiration in the soulful sounds of jazz legends like Miles Davis, Chet Baker and Don Cherry.
Milan Mes made his debut as recording artist with his electro-pop band, THE BENELUX.After which he continued his journey with the mariachi Supercity Band. Currently Mes makes music with musicians like Robin Block and Mozes Meijer.
In 2009 Mes won the Best Musician Award of the Grote Prijs of The Netherlands. The same year he won the award for most innovative music, the Jur Naessens music prize with his music theatre group Project Wildeman.
