The songwriter-turned-filmmaker has been writing concept albums with accompanying films since their freshman year of high school. They grew up all over the world in an expat family but spent their formative musical years in New Jersey. Josh currently makes Alternative music with mainly modern pop influences but check back tomorrow; for they are always four years ahead of their most recent release.
Josh first saw success in early 2021 when their song, “You Don’t Love Her” began to build an audience on TikTok. 828 sticker packs sent worldwide later, the song has skyrocketed to over half a million streams, continues to reach new people on Discover Weekly, and most importantly to them, helps other LGBTQ+ fans feel less alone.
It's 2024 and Josh Zaleha is a chameleon. You’ve heard them do indie rock on “Spoils”, alt rock for “You Don’t Love Her”, alt country on “psychosis”, an acoustic project, and now they’re making dance pop? What will they do next?
