About laments.
Forming at the latter end of 2023 in Glasgow, Scotland. Founded by Vocalist Kayden Allan and Guitarist/Bassist Ross Menzies,
laments. is an experimental rock band, trying to find their own sound and style while playing across multiple different genres adding their own personal flair. laments' first lineup contained Kayden Allan, Lead Vocals and Guitar. Ross Menzies on Guitar with Chris Snedden taking on Bass and Backing Vocals, Craig Innes on Drums and Jack Gavin on Guitar. This lineup played 2 gigs up until the end of 2023, Room 2 in November and then headlining the prestiged King Tuts Wah Wah Hut in December.
In 2024 the band due to circumstances had to change the lineup, with Craig Innes and Jack Gavin leaving, they recruited 2 great replacements. In Jamie Candy on Guitar and David Cunningham on Drums. The new lineup has headlined Broadcast in Glasgow and has finished releasing laments' first EP/Single Drowning in a Colourful Mess released on March 1st 2024. With a lot of gigging planned, laments. are doing their best to make their mark on Glasgow's Music Scene.
