Kelly Jones

This was only my 4th time seeing Kelly Jones, and I must say, he sounds better every time I hear him. This was the first gig I've attended whereby the artist has requested that fans put their mobile phones in a sealed plastic bag, sit back, relax and enjoy the music, and that's exactly what I did. I can't believe what a difference it made to the whole experience. It was a fairly intimate gig in a lovely hall, and it felt like Kelly Jones was singing in my living room with a live band. This gig showed a completely different side to Kelly and showcased his growing musical abilities. He's not just an amazing singer. He's an extremely talented musician and phenomenal songwriter. I can't wait for his next tours with Stereophonics and with Far From Saints.

Amazing from start to finish

Fantastic venue, amazing atmosphere music sounded beautiful being inside a converted church that has been made into a music venue, 5*****

First time at the Gate and was pleasantly surprised. Small and intimate, but not cramped and didn't feel like there were too many people. No queues for bars and toilets, and really organised in getting everyone scanned in and wristbands on. Kelly was amazing. The band were amazing. The show was...amazing! If you get the chance to go and watch this, do it. A really relaxed, deep, soulful show with amazing musicians and the unmistakable sound of Kelly's voice. I've seen the Stereophonics live about 6 times previously, and this ranks right up there, partly due to the performance, but the venue made for what felt like a special, private gig. I want to go and watch Kelly again, and will definitely keep an eye out for events at the Gate in the future.

Was like having Kelly in your home. So relaxed. So intimate. Fantastic evening and a little sing song at the end.

No photos as we had to put our phones in a plastic bag but this made the gig better. There was no distractions from people trying to video or take pictures during the performance. Kelly was superb and as always put on a brilliant performance. The set was short but we knew that at the time of booking but the quality of the set list was great with a mix of the new solo album played in full and a couple of other solo songs and also some Stereophonics tracks. I wish I had got tickets for all three Birmingham shows as I never get tired of watching this man's talent.

An awesome, intimate venue for Kelly to. showcase his amazing album. I felt such a huge connection to every song. It truly is amazing, emotional and connective listening to such an amazing voice and talent.

Kelly is an incredible artist. He managed to create an intimate show in which he presented his latest album and played some of the classics that have captivated many of us. Sublime musician, lyricist and singer. Awesome!!!
