About lost masters
Building from a dark electronic framework, Lost Masters melds genres to find a unique blend of aggression and beauty. Heavy beats and pointed lyrics lead the way along with dense and rich synth atmospheres to deliver a deep and cathartic listening experience.
Started as an experimental side project, Lost Masters has since taken its own identity of expression, drawing diverse inspiration from artists like Nine Inch Nails, Peter Gabriel, and Rage Against the Machine. Varied releases have included a soundtrack to a live production of Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible” and a series of heavy-edit mashup and sample tracks in “Doomsday” and “Bluster”. Recently, the voice of the project has come to the forefront as more and more lyric-focused tracks have emerged leading to the most recent full-length album, “Pork Belly Futures”. New singles point towards more melodic introspection, hinting at a new direction for the upcoming album, “Purgatory”.
Within this history of genre shapeshifting, the core of Lost Masters has always been the balance between personal reflection and cultural critique. Expect all of this and more.
