Hand in hand with The Scenic Sound, Olaf Putker invites you into a ‘Scenic Wonderland’ with music that balances restlessly on the border of americana and indierock. Musical inspiration comes from bands like Wilco, Elliott Smith, dEUS, Counting Crows and JOHAN. Where Olaf in his lyrics often deliberates, The Scenic Sound (composed of hometown friends Nathan Becker, Len Harmsen and Boaz Kuizenga) lets the doubts for what they are and make the songs flourish like never before. This allows the music to be celebrated the way the band does best: with shows that are filled with daring energy and radiate friendship. The band played to sold-out rooms like Paradiso, Hedon, Rotown en Doornroosje, released two singles and were celebrated by (among others) KINK Radio, 3voor12Gelderland, IndieXL, CamielMusic and CHAOS Music. Their long-awaited debut EP is in the works.
