these guys are bloody fantastic 👏 they were support for Dayseeker's Australian headline tour in July this year.. I'd never seen them or heard of them before being a Sydney based metal band but they were the fabulous surprise as a support act.. and now need to keep touring here to get more momentum and fans.. I love their new album..

About Inertia
Forging their own path as one of Australia’s most exciting alternative acts, Sydney quartet, Inertia, tighten their grip on modern metal as they bend and break the boundaries of their genre. Targeting fans of Loathe, Spiritbox, Thornhill and at times The Weeknd and SZA, Inertia bring elements of dark pop and soul to the forefront as they explore the darkest corners of metal music and add to it their own sprinkling of emo pop.
Inertia is Julian Latouche (vocals), Mark Williamson (guitar and production), Oliver Smith (bass) and Sebastian Schaber (drums). Since their inception in 2017, Inertia have jumped from strength to strength. Sitting pretty on tens of thousands of monthly Spotify listeners with close to 3 million digital streams across their collection, Inertia have turned heads with their unique blend of alternative metal. They attracted the attention of independent record label Resist Records, through which their 2022 EP, the acclaimed ‘Memoria,’ was released.
Tackling the implications of a growing capitalist society and the complexities of indecision and division, ‘Memoria’ quickly became a powerful staple in Inertia’s back catalogue and has seen the band tour extensively across Australia, sharing the stage with a number of prominent alternative international and Australian acts. In recent years they have shared their encapsulating live show atop stages supporting Dayseeker (US), Holding Absence (UK), Caskets (UK), Thousand Below (US), Thornhill, Void Of Vision, Ocean Grove, Thy Art Is Murder, Diamond Construct and more. July will see Inertia touring once again with Dayseeker on the ‘Dark Sun Worldwide’ tour with Casey (UK) and Landon Tewers (US).
Teasing new music for the first time since ‘Memoria’, Inertia add a fresh new track to their live setlist and embark on the journey towards their debut album, which will see its release later this year via Resist Records. Hard at work since their last offering, the four-piece examine themes of mortality, nihilism, transcendence, existentialism and self reflection on their forthcoming debut LP, further refining the sound that they have undoubtedly made their own.
