Boiled Ink

Boiled Ink started as a music project somewhere in December 2019, which is when the duo met by accident at a local community bar in Budapest’s 8th district. Joe (lyrics/vocals/guitar) was sitting on one of the sofas, fiddling with his guitar and practicing his songs which caught Matej’s (bass guitar) attention. A couple songs after, Matej proposed to work on the songs together, to which responded: “I don’t know, man, these songs are kinda’ personal to me, but hey, why not, let’s give it a shot. We can start with three songs and see where we end up.” A dozen songs later, Boiled Ink are now a duo, ready to bring their music out in the open. Various genres and styles have influenced the duo so far, so you can expect a mix of songs ranging from jazz to hip hop and rap, from rock to samba and classical music, and the latest material has a strong musical or even rock opera character to it. We hope you will enjoy what we do and love the most.
