Saeddyr is the glow that persists after the lights go out, the scent of honey and cinnamon wafting through the night, the shadows that lie just out of sight. Planted at the edge of the woods in Salem, Massachusetts, Saeddyr began as the solo project of Margot Smith and has grown into a collaborative adventure. Saeddyr explores liminal spaces and crosses thresholds with flamboyancy & drama, melding seraphic vocal harmonies with feral growls, and layering doomy gloomy instrumentals with high-energy voices. Uncovering what’s buried under the cobblestones of New England, Saeddyr delves into mythology, alternative psychology, feminine strength, and the lasting effects of humans' separation from nature.
