DUO RUUT

Duo Ruut sound ties together a single Estonian zither and two distinct voices. Inspired by the Estonian heritage, they draw influence from both the beliefs of different cultures and their own contemporary and emotive songwriting. Their music is minimalist at its core but packed with new and imaginative ideas.

In a short period of time Duo Ruut has toured around the world at prestigious festivals (Womex, ESNS, Celtic Connections, Trans Musicales, PIN, TMW, Stimmen Festival, du Bout du Monde etc). Last couple of years have brought concerts in more than 20 countries, their music has been supported by international media such as MOJO, KEXP, BBC, Songlines, The Arts Desk, Louder Than War, FIP Radio, RFI, Culturebox TV France etc.
