About Ten Hail Marys
Hailing from Dublin, Ten Hail Marys are a guitar-driven, indie-rock four-piece with a penchant for colloquial, narrative lyrics and sprawling, emotive hooks. Initially collaborating on tracks left over from his previous project, Adam Cullen (Vocals/Guitar) employed Jake Murray (Drums), Joe McGuirk (Synth/Guitar) and Dillon Doyle (Bass) in early 2022, and the group took full shape in November of the same year with the release of debut single ‘Yours Truly, Little Pixie’.
Three more singles have followed – nostalgia-heavy, indie anthem ‘So Young’, ‘I Promised’, a swelling and forceful track that highlights the poignancy and emotional maturity at the heart of the band’s sound and most recently 'Little Bird'.
Ten Hail Marys made their live debut in a sold out Workman’s Cellar in February of 2023. To date, they have also performed at events such as Forbidden Fruit, Ireland Music Week and "Whelans Ones to Watch" with more live dates scheduled around the country and abroad in the coming months.
Fittingly, Whipping Boy guitarist Paul Page has been among the early champions of Ten Hail Marys. It is not uncommon for a band to occupy a sonic space that reflects their surroundings, but this sound moves well beyond imitation. Such is the eclecticism of the group’s influences – from The Cribs and Deftones to Depeche Mode – theirs is a style of writing that is at once hugely challenging and enchantingly familiar.
