Would

Would is the solo project of Palila singer/guitarist Matthias Schwettmann and describes Would as the little, introverted brother of his main band, although the boundaries between the two are fluid.

While Palila's influences tend to be indie rock icons such as Built To Spill, Dinosaur Jr. and Pixies, Would's influences tend to be somewhat quieter and more melancholic contemporaries such as Elliott Smith, Jason Molina, Ben Gibbard, Jeff Tweedy and Neil Young.

The first EP "Be OK", released in July 2023, was the first sign of life and the debut album “Be Okay To Not Be Okay” is due in February 2024 via DevilDuck Records.
