Zimmer Grandioso

With one foot firmly planted in '90s indie and alternative rock, while the other is rooted in the ”melodic hook heaven”, Gothenburg-based Zimmer Grandioso effortlessly drifts between genres, eras, and expressions. Pop, rock, and slacker blend with real rock 'n' roll saxophone and carefully selected (yet crucial) touches of Jethro Tull-style flutes. Listeners draw comparisons to The Magnetic Fields, Daniel Romano, and Twin Peaks, but beneath the surface, there are even more layers to uncover.

The songs are both simple and well-thought-out – melodic yet edgy. It's indie and alternative at the same time, perfect for both pre-parties and club nights, as well as those small hours in between. Following their debut EP "Zimmer Style II" (2023), they cleverly followed up with "Zimmer Style IV" (2024). The next chapter, "The Lonesome Foghorn Blows," arrives in May 2025, led by the singles "full of love" and "let me down pt. 2."

Not all bands are born purely out of music. It may be a somewhat elusive driving force, but starting a band from the desire to freeze a moment in time – "I wish this day would never end" – is something truly special. It is no coincidence that Zimmer Grandioso was born on a rare, perfect Swedish summer day.
