About alex and us
Alex and us (Bruna Oliveira, Luís Afonso and Vasco Nunes) already had a considerable set of songs when they managed to perform their first in-person rehearsal together.
Vasco and Luís had other musical projects in the past. Bruna played only in her room but recorded some youtube videos mostly with originals.
At some point, during covid lockdowns, Vasco reached out to Luís to start creating music together remotely. They set up a methodology to share the changes each one added to a song and were starting to have fun with it. Then, Luís' wife suggested a cousin of a colleague to sing. She sent them her youtube channel (Alex_I_think) and they immediately fell in love with her voice.
They wrote her an email and to their surprise she accepted the challenge of joining them in doing music.
They kept working on the project at home, even managing roughly to rehearse remotely. Only after several months of progressing like this, did Vasco and Luís meet with Bruna in person and started working physically together.
Their influences come from indie, alternative rock/pop and world music, but they don't want to be limited by styles.
