About girlfriend on the moon

girlfriend on the moon is a Los Angeles-based collaboration between Tess Mueske (all pronouns) and Harri Elizabeth (she/her). Founding member Mueske moved to LA from Minnesota in the fall of 2020. The band draws from a wide range of artists such as Soccer Mommy, The Beths, and The Japanese House.

girlfriend on the moon toured the west coast with their debut EP ‘killer’ in the fall of 2022. They toured the southwest in the summer of 2023 to promote their next single, ‘strawberries,’ and released a music video. Finally, entirely DIY, the band is embarking on their longest tour yet in December 2023 - the 15-city, midwest “natalie” tour, named for the vocalist’s first queer crush. The band is writing and recording their next era of songs about heartbreak; yearning; chosen family; and as always, their past, present, and future girlfriends.
