About No Money Enterprise

Since forming in 2019, hip-hop outfit No Money Enterprise have been translating their street stories into history-making hits. Hailing from Logan City in Queensland, No Money Enterprise took inspiration from other local artists like Fortafy, Dyce and Eazy Company, choosing hip-hop as the vehicle to turn their lives around. "One thing about Logan is that everyone is hustling; whether it's music, sports, or television," they say. "Everyone is on, everyone is doing something."

Filled with the entrepreneurial spirit of their home town, No Money Enterprise went from rapping at house parties to booking their first studio sessions, officially entering the game in 2019 in uncompromising fashion. Their debut single 'German' blindsided the hip-hop scene; amassing 48 million streams across all platforms, going platinum in Australia and New Zealand, and taking out the 'Most Performed Hip-Hop/Rap Work' category at the APRA Awards. With its Latin-infused sound and a hook that's equally staunch and infectious, 'German' also represented a social media insurgence in the rap space, with the song swiftly taking over TikTok and becoming a flagship anthem of the burgeoning drill movement that catapulted the careers of similar artists such as OneFour.

With No Money Enterprise having successfully snatched the spotlight with their first release, the industry was forced to take notice: No Money Enterprise also stepped into the triple j studios for a 'Like A Version' performance, paying homage with their own rendition of 'Mo Money, Mo Problems' by Notorious B.I.G. Their single 'Presto' won critical acclaim, and was nominated in the Hip-Hop/Rap category at the Queensland Music Awards. They also performed at renowned events including SXSW and Yours & Owls. Despite the industry attention, No Money Enterprise still stayed true to their roots, collaborating with underground drill sensation Section60 and frequent partner-in-crime Bently on 'Troublesome' in 2022.

The early years of No Money Enterprise came with much success, but also plenty of lessons: Learning the ins-and-outs of the music industry, how to navigate deals and negotiations, and learning what it means to become a successful artist. "We didn’t know any of this. We just knew music and that was it," they say. "We never started this music journey with the thought of being where we are, but now that we’re here, the goal and vision is still the same... To better ourselves and give to our family." The growth of No Money Enterprise is being reflected in the music: Their lyrics feature more poignant reflections of life in the streets, the sounds are becoming more diverse and experimental, and the group is focused on timelessness rather than virality.

Coming into 2024, No Money Enterprise is forging ahead as a duo, with brothers Randy Svge and Tommy OT at the helm. The two will be delivering more music and features throughout the year, working extensively with new producers including SHYY (Hooligan Hefs, A1 x J1, Kahukx) and James Angus (Example, Tkay Madiza, Carmouflage Rose). No Money Enterprise will also be embarking on their first headline tour across Australia this coming June, where they'll continue flying the flag for Logan City with pride. And despite all of their wins so far, it still feels like just the beginning. "We gotta turn the notch up on the stove," they say. "It’s just the two of us now, so we gotta run the ball for our own."
