Your Friends (band)

Since their inception in September 2022, Your Friends has always been about cultivating a family. With influences ranging from the high-octane, form-focused sound of The Meters to the improvisational air of The Grateful Dead, Your Friends brings a fresh and energetic sound to North Carolina’s thriving jam community. Emerging from the ashes of a previous musical project, the triumvirate of Dane Chelcun (lead guitar, vocals), Thomas Weaver (drums), and James “Gary” Senker (bass) embarked upon a search for another piece to their puzzle, and they found their fit in Joe Davis (rhythm guitar, vocals). Finalizing the lineup with Chelcun’s middle school bandmate Owen Buettner (keyboards, vocals), Your Friends creates a sanctuary of unity and acceptance at every one of their performances, bringing dynamic, uplifting improvisations to audiences across North Carolina. Your Friends are currently hard at work on recording and releasing original music. With their unwavering commitment to a message of love and mutual respect, Your Friends can’t wait to welcome you into the family.
