About Blackchild
Blackchild, the artist name for Italian DJ/Producer Gennaro Filisdeo from a small island in the gulf of Naples called Ischia.
Throughout his life Blackchild was heavily influenced by his father‘s record collection, he grew up listening to Hip-Hop, RnB, Disco and Old School House music. At the age of 18 he started producing Tech House music and immediately received support from the most respected artists in the underground scene.
In 2019 Blackchild joined the Solid Grooves roster which lead him to play at some statement venues and festivals such as Printworks London, Auditorium Torremolinos Malaga and ADE Festival.
2020 started off with chart success for Blackchild with his track ‘Sexy Thing’ going straight to #2 in the Beatport Top 10 Tech House Chart and #5 in the Overall Top 10 Chart. Next year Blackchild will continue to rise with new music releases coming and bookings on the festival circuit kicking off with Parklife and KappaFutur.
