About Drusky
Drusky (like drunk husky) is an indie emo band based in Utah.
Original Drusky drummer Scott Knutson and bassist Dallin Haslam meshed with Mia Hicken, proud daughter of the Heber Valley, in 2019 to “band-ify” her solo work. The group quickly became much more than just a “project” and transformed into a beautifully cohesive band. Their debut EP Hush Hush Secret Stuff introduced their brand of bubblegrunge, splattering Hicken’s king-sized vocals and candid storytelling on a canvas of bright, blistering garage rock a la Dinosaur Jr. or The Bends-era Radiohead. Now with local stalwarts Casey Ball (guitar), Eli Pratt (bass) and Stacie Fleischer (drums), their live performances are filled from start to finish with raw emotion, obvious musical chemistry, a burning passion for their craft.
Drusky kept busy in 2021 with featured stints at the 2nd annual Kilby Court Block Party and Fork Fest. They capped it off with the release of In Transit EP in December 2021 featuring their biggest track to date, “Holy Ghosting.” The outfit is readying their debut LP for 2023.
