Louie Lee, an artist from Detroit, is changing the perception and experiences of country music. The 2022 Detroit music award winner faced challenges growing up, including his parents' divorce and being hearing impaired. His mother's hard work taught him the importance of never giving up as she held down 3 jobs, Growing up in a diverse trailer community exposed him to various musical styles, but it wasn't until his grandfather's passing that he found his voice in country.
