About SHABNAM PARVARESH
Shabnam Parvaresh is a clarinetist, visual artist, and curator from Tehran, Iran. Her musical approach blends Persian music with jazz, improvisation, and electronic sounds to create a new sonic aesthetic on the clarinet. After playing with the Tehran Symphony Orchestra, she moved to Germany in 2013 to study jazz clarinet. In 2020, she founded the Sheen Trio, releasing its debut album Gozar in 2023. She curates the concert series KLANGFENSTER at Hase29 in Osnabrück and has performed at renowned festivals such as Cologne Jazzweek and Moers Festival. In 2026, she will lead the Morgenland Festival Osnabrück. As a visual artist, she has exhibited internationally and was nominated for the Osnabrück Art Prize in 2022.
