About Roberto Beneventi
Born in Modena (Italy), he studied accordion with Maestro Walter Ranieri and harmony, composition and orchestral conducting with Maestro Ettore Ballotta. From a very young age he became fascinated with the musette, jazz and Argentine tango genres. To become really familiar with the latter, he moved to Buenos Aires, where he met up with important musicians (Néstor Marconi, Juan José Mosalini). He has taken part in numerous competitions for accordionists, and had the opportunity to collaborate with Richard Galliano. He performs all over Italy and abroad with the Note Noire Quartet project and with jazz, funk, ethno and pop-rock ensembles.
