About Killface

Killface arrive with a statement of ferocious intent. Theirs is the way of musical brutality. Formed in Dublin, Ireland by Derek, Zammo, Dee, Jono Crinnon and Owen Drummond late 2008 and borne of a mutual appreciation for the more visceral side of things, Killface set out to play a style of metal inspired by old school thrash, grind, death metal and hardcore punk. Expect chainsaw riffage, thunderous drumming, vocals traversing guttural roars to piercing screams and audiences being whipped into frenzy by the pure intensity of it all. Since the release of their debut EP ‘Faceless’ in 10/11, which was well received in Ireland and internationally, the band have ploughed their own trench on the Irish metal circuit playing numerous shows and local metal festivals which led to the band making an appearance on Irish web show ‘Franks Shed TV’ April 2012 followed by them supporting genre heavyweights like Exhumed, Atheist and Aeon to name a few, along the way gaining a strong following on the back of their viciously tight and intense live shows. Following the release of their 2013 debut album “Feeding the Dead” which gained them a distribution deal with German outfit Legacy-Records, the band has gone through a couple of line-up changes. With Jono and Owen departing Daryl and Stephen joinied up with Brady, Zammo and Dee, making Killface more powerful, stronger and more determined than ever. Killface recently supported Sepultura, Prong and Entomed A.D., they also won the Wacken Metal Battle Ireland Final 2014 which seen them play at Wacken Open Air’s 25th anniversary with the likes of Motorhead, Megadeth, Slayer, Carcass, Kreator, Wasp and many more and they don’t intend to stop there. This year will see Killface release their second self-financed album with a release looking likley to be early summer time and with the writing all but done, it promises to be their best offering to date. Killface will be hitting the stage throughout the UK and mainland Europe in 2015 and beyond so keep an eye and ear out. If it’s an extreme metal gut punch you crave, prepare yourself, because Killface don't hold back! 'Feeding The Dead' is now up for download at killface.bandcamp.com
