About Wesley David

From concealed hopes of glory in Rock 'n' Roll to a life lived in 2 parts, Wesley David brings a sense of bittersweet humor but unrelenting joy in an anthemic chorus to his songwriting.
Having left behind a rigidly extreme conservative religious upbringing, an unexpected chance at a different life led to forays in bands in LA and work as a touring pianist and piano bar player.
There's a sense of the existential absurd in lyrics like 'Tell me it's better late than never to love like you did - when you were young, and hopeful, and too dumb to quit'.
It forms half of a lyrical legacy borrowed from a 90s rock angst into an Elliot Smith argument with how to find the meaning in your journey, however random it may sometimes feel. His September 2022 EP 'Satori' was produced by Thom Flowers (The Ataris, Journey) and is a 6 song follow up to Never Late than Better, written and recorded during the Pandemic in Los Angeles from his bedroom.
