About Love Rat
Love Rat’s music is made of the Alabama red dirt they were born on, but It zooms out - it is more Southern than Alabama, and further still is more American than it is Southern. It's a cool breeze and an even colder beer after hard work in hot weather, but this music thrives in any environment. The band calls it modern throwback music, as the band was clearly brought up on decades old rock, folk, blues, and country while still being influenced by grunge and hip-hop of the current era.
Mandi Rae’s voice has always fit alongside the strongest vocalists from the country’s new traditionalist movement. But, instead of following a formula, they follow their muse when it comes to songwriting. Love Rat's music sets out on a different path. Warren Amos' guitar playing adds a distinctly rock and roll touch to the band's sound. He tastefully blends elements of Mike Campbell and Johnny Hickman's styles. Both being vocalists in this band When you listen to the songs that the band writes together, with the help of their bassist Jonathan Breland, Derek Nolin on keys, and Matthew Monk on harmonica, it satisfies a craving that you didn't even know you had.
You can find their new album, "Howl at the Moon," wherever you usually get your music. Make sure to check it out!
