About Brian Spahr

Brian Spahr is a husband, a dad, a musician, a hospital chaplain, and an ordained pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Based in Fort Wayne, IN, Brian's ministry is to create and hold sacred space for people in their struggles, hurts, and grief through songs, stories, and spiritual practice.

As a singer/songwriter, he has released two full-length Albums, an EP, and a single as a solo artist and a full-length album as part of the acoustic duo, “mudhouse.” Brian has played music and spoken with crowds from small groups to 2000-person gatherings. In 2022, Brian published his first book, “Don’t You Care That We Are Drowning? (And Other Unexpected Prayers). It is a short collection of stories reflecting on the kind of raw, honest prayers people pray when they are weighed down by crisis and grief. Brian is a roster artist with Incubator Creative Group out of Eugene, OR.

In his free time, Brian likes to sit around the campfire, hang out with his family, nerd out to Star Wars and Marvel, read, roast coffee (and run his #fakebrandrealcoffee company www.SophisticatedSquatch.com),
