Originally from Tayport but now calling Edinburgh home, J Wax launched into the music world in 2019, swiftly establishing themselves as a dynamic DJ and producer. With a short but impactful career, J Wax has quickly gained recognition within the industry, boasting standout releases on esteemed labels like Future Classic and Headroom Records. As a core member of the thriving collective and label Palidrone, J Wax's diverse sets effortlessly traverse a range of genres including breakbeat, garage, and techno, solidifying their position as an artist on the rise.
In 2020, J Wax proudly unveiled their EP 'Blink' under the prestigious Inverness label, Kouncil Cuts. This momentum continued with the release of the 'Demersal' EP on Future Classic in August 2022, followed by a notable appearance on BBC Radio Scotland in September, where they shared insights into the local music scene alongside a captivating half-hour mix.
Further cementing their presence in the music world, J Wax's track 'Oceans' secured a spot on the official soundtrack of EA Sports F1 23. Notable releases under Future Classic ('Demersal') and Headroom Records ('1997') have further solidified their reputation.
